There are three videos that summarise the principles and practice of supervision as it applies to the healthcare environment, and two practical role-play demonstrations of how to give feedback that is adjusted for the level of insight and the anxiety levels of the trainee. Renske van den Brink

MBChB, DipObs, FPC, FRNZCGP, DipCouns, MNZAC, PGDipMindBody Healthcare, Accredited Balint Leader and Leader Trainer

Dr Renske van den Brink is a medical doctor who started her career in general practice and now works in medical education and mental health.

Renske is a co-director of Connect Communications where she teaches communication skills, supervision skills and well-being to health professionals. In addition, she works as a counsellor and psychotherapist, and she also supervises health professionals both in her private practice and as an accredited Balint group leader and leader trainer.

Fiona Moir

Fiona is an academic and wellbeing lead in the University of Auckland (UoA) Medical Programme, and a Director of Connect Communications, an education business specialising in communication and wellbeing. Connect was established in 2001 and regularly works with the Medical Council of NZ, the NZ Pharmaceutical Society, and the NZ Veterinary Association. In 2018, Fiona won the UoA Vice-Chancellors Excellence Award for Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and in 2022, she won a NZ Workplace Health and Safety Award as co-creator and lead of HOTSPOTS, an initiative tackling bullying, harassment and discrimination in the clinical workplace. She regularly works with industry groups across Australasia.
